Quick Credit has been in the news in the past few months due to the activities of its loan recovery officers.

Videos on social media capture confrontations between these officers and customers who have defaulted on loan repayment.

Founder and Board Chairman of Quick Credit, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has announced that his company will no longer undertake house-to-house recovery of loans.

Speaking at the annual gathering of the company which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Sunday, January 7, 2024, Richard Nii Armah Quaye stated that the on-field loan recovery department of the organization has been dissolved.

According to the business mogul, the decision was made following feedback from stakeholders.

“Over the past year, we received numerous feedback from our customers, the general public, and our regulator on our activities on the field.

These feedbacks are a reflection of the experiences and expectations of the people we serve. I am thrilled to announce that we have decided to dissolve the company’s house-to-house recovery department and shall no longer be visiting clients for recovery ever again.”

Mr Quaye continued, ”Instead, we would employ alternative and more suitable means to recover our non-performing loans. This will help increase service quality and enhance customer experience throughout our organization.

We have also resolved to continue enhancing technology in our business to improve our service delivery, make us more effective and efficient in our operations and ultimately reduce our cost of doing business.”

He stated extensively, “Hence, I encourage you all to embrace these changes wholeheartedly. By doing so, we will affirm our position as the market leader of the industry and increase our market share even further, elevate our company to new heights, and continue making a positive difference in the lives of our cherished clients. Embracing change can be challenging, but I am confident that each of you has the dedication and resilience needed to make this transition successful. Your commitment and hard work are the driving forces behind our company’s success.”
