Ghacem makes GH₵500,000 donation to the COVID-19 Fund

Leading Cement manufacturing company, Ghacem, has donated GH₵500,000 to the COVID-19 National Trust Fund.
Presenting the amount to the Minister of Information in Accra on Friday, the Managing Director of the company, Mr Stefano Gallini, said the gesture was part of the company’s commitment to the development and wellbeing of Ghanaians.

“We are proud to respond to the national call by the President towards fighting the COVID 19 pandemic, by donating half a million Ghana cedis (500, 000) to the Trust Fund, established by His Excellency the President.

“We pledge our continuous support towards the national clarion call and wish to remind all of the urgent need to observe the safety protocols on the Corona virus in order to totally help eradicate the disease from the country,” Mr Gallini said.

Parliament on Thursday passed the COVID-19 National Trust Bill to establish the fund to complement the efforts of the government in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
