The former Presidential Candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Dr Edward Mahama has said he prefers government generating revenue through e-levy over IMF.

Speaking to Dzifa Bampoh on 3FM about his view on e-levy, Dr. Mahama said, “If we solve our problems, I am for that than to go to IMF.”

He added that he has hope in Ghana and wishes this policy yields positive results.

“I have hope in Ghana and if Ghana does well, we will all be good,” he added.

On the other hand, the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, has said Ghana would not return to the IMF for support.

He said that the IMF knows Ghana is heading towards the right direction with regard to financial measures and policies to deal to solve the economy woes.
