The Ghana Education Service introduced a system for BECE students called the CSSPS Self Placement Module.
This is to help students who were not placed in a Senior High School of their choice place themselves manually in vacant schools.
Which Students can use Self Placement
Sometimes Students with bad or unqualified grades (does not meet the cut-off point) are eligible for self placement. The calculation of the grades are done by using the candidate’s aggregate score from 6 subjects which are 4 Core (English Language, Mathematics Social Studies, Integrated Science) and the best two elective subjects.
Note that only Students who could not be placed automatically by the CSSPS can take part in the self placement process.
