Some BECE graduates were not enrolled following the release of the SHS/TVET placement for 2022 BECE graduates going into Senior High Schools and Technical, Vocational, Education and Training (TVET)
Addressing the press, Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr. Eric Nkansah revealed that 8,930 candidates were not placed into any Senior High School or TVET.
This is because the said student obtained grade 9 in English, Mathematics or most of their subjects.
Any student with such issue will have to retake the BECE as private candidate and perform excellently.
He added that out of the 547,329 candidates who sat for the examination, 538,399 qualified for school placement amongst which 165,601 candidates will have to do self-placement.
He announced that students and wards can now log onto the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) cssps.gov.gh to check their schools.
