The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released SHS/TVET placement for 2022 BECE graduates going into Senior High Schools and Technical, Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) schools across the country.
This means that students and wards can now log onto the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) cssps.gov.gh to check their schools.
Addressing the press, Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr. Eric Nkansah announced that out of the 547,329 candidates who sat for the examination, 538,399 qualified for school placement.
Sadly, 165,601 candidates will have to do self-placement because they could not be matched to their school of choice.
“Out of 547,329 registered candidates, 538,399 candidates qualified for placement. So far, a total of 322,780, representing 69.24% of the qualified students have been placed in at least one of their choices. However, 165,601 candidates, representing 37.76% could not be matched with any of their choices. All such students will therefore do self placement.” he said.
He noted that the first-year students are expected to report to school on February 20 for their admission processes to begin.
