GBWhatsApp is a modified version of the WhatsApp APK file and you cannot download it from Google Play Store.

It adds more functions and features to the original WhatsApp app such as without getting users banned, previewing image/video without loading, sending a broadcast message to 600 people at once, sending 90 images at once instead of the previous 30, hiding status, blue ticks, and other hacks and many many more.

The developer of GBWhatsApp has moded the stylesheet information of the WhatsApp APK which is not encrypted to provide you with some of the unique design features mentioned above without the server’s knowledge.

Many of the times, one is likely to experience delay with incoming messages. It’s important to note that this issue is not exclusive to GBWhatsApp. In fact, it’s mainly encountered on WhatsApp. The main cause has been attributed to unstable internet connection, device configuration issues and/or issues with the app itself.

In any case, below are some fixes you can try;

  1. Restart App

For a start, do the following:

  • Close the app.
  • Disable internet connection.
  • Relaunch the app.

If you’re still encountering delayed delivery, proceed to the next fix.

  1. Enable Background Data

If you’re not receiving GBWhatsApp’s notifications, and you have to open the app to access received messages, the background data is probably disabled.

To fix this, you’d have to enable background data for the app, as described below:

  • Close GBWhatsApp and go to “Settings”.
  • Select “Data usage” > “Mobile data usage” or “Cellular data usage”.
  • Select “GBWhatsApp”.
  • Locate “Background data” and enable it (if disabled).
  • Exit window.

Now, relaunch GBWhatsApp and see if message notifications now pop up fine. If messages still get delayed, try the next fix.

  1. Turn Off Battery Saver & Related Features

Often times, when a device set to the “Battery Saver” mode, such device’s internet connectivity becomes restricted. Hence, if your phone is in this mode, it could be what’s causing the “delayed delivery” on GBWhatsApp.

To fix this, simply set your device back to the normal mode, and you should be good.

If the error persists, try the next fix.

  1. Clear Cache

To do this:

  • go to Settings;
  • select Apps > GBWhatsApp;
  • click Force stop;
  • select Clear cache; and
  • exit window.

If you encounter any delayed delivery henceforth, try and update your GBWhatsApp to the latest version, or simply uninstall and reinstall the app.
