CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk announced that Twitter Blue has relaunched months after halting subscription services due to fatal impersonation issue.

In the new update, Twitter Blue membership subscription will cost $8 per month on the web and $11 per month on the iOS App Store due to Apple’s 30 percent commission on in-app purchases.

Twitter is yet to announce when Android users will have this feature enabled.

How To Subscribe To Twitter Blue

Before subscribing to Twitter Blue, users must have an active account and must be at least 90 days old.

Twitter accounts must link their phone numbers for verification before the blue checkmark will be displayed.

Twitter Blue service is only available in Australia, Britain, Canada, New Zealand and the United States with plan to expand to other countries soon.

  • Login to your Twitter account
  • Open your Twitter profile and tap on three lines symbol or the three dot symbol if you have logged in on Twitter.com
  • Select the Twitter Blue tab to open
  • Tap on the Subscribe button
  • You will be prompted to verify your phone number with the account if you haven’t.
  • For iOS, you will proceed to the in-app purchase to confirm payment. For the web, you will confirm your subscription payment via a payment page.

After payment has successfully gone through, you will become a Twitter Blue member and enjoy its features.

The new features for Twitter Blue include access to reader mode, uploading 1080p videos, editing of tweets, a blue profile checkmark and more.

Why is Twitter blue not showing up

People have been wondering why Twitter Blue is not showing up on their profile. This is why;

  • Before you subscribe to Twitter Blue, you must have an active account and must be at least 90 days old.
  • Users must link their Twitter accounts to phone numbers for verification before subscribing to Twitter Blue.
  • Twitter Blue only shows up for people living in Australia, Britain, Canada, New Zealand and the United States.
