The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) members’ usage of the Mobile Renewal Service has seen significant improvement amid the evolving situation with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mobile Renewal Service also takes away the time-wasting periods and other inconveniences at NHIS District Offices when going for renewals.
This service can be accessed with ease by dialing an easy to remember shortcode, *929# on all Networks (MTN, Vodafone, Glo, AirtelTigo etc) and pay from your respective mobile money service to stay active.
Below are the Steps to Follow:
- Dial *929#
- Select Option 2 to Renew Membership
- Select Option 1 to renew via NHIS Card
- Enter the Eight Digit NHIS Membership Number
- Confirm the Eight Digit NHIS Membership Number
- Press Send
- Follow the instruction for payment
The NHIA service code – *929#, can be used by NHIS members to check the status of their NHIS Membership Eligibility, NHIS Benet Package and NHIS Medicines list.
