The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has launched a new mobile app, ‘MyGHTaxi’ for taxi and trotro drivers in Ghana.
The new digital platform is set to compete with ride-hailing services such as Uber, Bolt, Dropyn, Yango among others.
According to GPRTU, the new initiative was launched to improve its operations in the country and also provide good customer service to customers.
The head of GPRTU also mentioned that the App will be on Google playstore and Apple’s app store for downloads.
‘MyGHTaxi’ will be available for drivers who wish to join the platform and passengers as well.
The app will provide its customers with fare estimations and allow them to digitally order a taxi to any location of their choice.
