iPhone and Android users can now activate Fingerprint Authentication to lock their WhatsApp chat. This features gives your app extra security if you don’t want someone snooping through your conversations when you pass them your phone.
There are several third-party app locker, having it natively present as a feature in the core app definitely makes things simpler and safer.
How to Lock your WhatsApp Chats on Android
- Open WhatsApp Settings
- Tap on Account
- Select Privacy
- Scroll down and tap on Fingerprint lock
- Turn on the toggle for fingerprint lock
- Verify your fingerprint when prompted
NB: You can choose the automatic lock time span from — Immediately, After 1 minute, and After 30 minutes
