How to install iOS 14 and iPadOS 14

iOS 14 is the fourteenth major release of the iOS mobile operating system developed by Apple Inc. for their iPhone and iPod Touch lines. Announced at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference on June 22, 2020 as the successor to iOS 13. iOS 14, and its subsidiary iPadOS 14, was released on September 16, 2020

Here is a how you can update your iOS version on your iPhone’s and iPad.

Note that it is a good idea to have your device plugged into a charger to ensure you don’t drain the battery, and a strong Wi-Fi connection will help speed up the process without burning through your data plan.

Here are the steps to follow;

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Select General.

3. Tap Software Update.

Your device will connect to Apple’s servers and prompt you to download and install the update. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. When your device reboots, it will be running iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
