How to register for MTN eSIM on your smartphone

MTN Ghana introduced its eSIM, or embedded SIM, for smartphone users.

Customers of MTN who have smartphones that support eSIM will no longer require physical SIM cards as a result.

The introduction of the eSIM reaffirms MTN’s commitment to leading digital solutions for Africa’s progress, according to Noel Kojo-Ganson, Chief Commercial Officer of MTN Ghana.

Onboarding journey is strictly digital and will be done via myMTN App.

How to register for MTN eSIM

  • To check if your devices supports eSIM, dial *#06#.
  • If the barcodes have EID (the phone is eSIM enabled).
  • Download myMTN App to request for your eSIM via bit.ly/3PCkvzZ & apple.co/3RKcuuU
  • You can also visit any nearby office with a valid National ID if your phone is eSIM-supported.
