Hubtel, Ghana’s top messaging, payments, and rapid commerce platform, has expanded its operations to the Volta and Northern Regions.
Hubtel has expanded its efforts to hasten the adoption of digital technology across the country.
The company successfully began in Takoradi a year earlier, and earlier this year it started operations in Cape Coast, Koforidua.
Hubtel expands further by adding Tamale and Ho as its seventh and eighth operating cities in Ghana.
Head of Commercial and New Markets, Gershon Akoto, commented on the Tamale launch and what it means for the business in an interview.
“Up until today, Hubtel users in Tamale have been able to send money and SMS. They were also able to pay for services like airtime, internet data, DSTv and GOTv. Today’s launch means they can even do more with the Hubtel App and website. Users can conveniently order for food, groceries and more on the Hubtel and receive it within minutes in the comfort of their homes or offices”.
Commenting on the launch of Ho Hubtel Head of Commercial and New Markets, Gershon Akoto said “We are excited to bring Hubtel to Ho.”

Businesses can use Hubtel to take payments from any mobile money, Visa or MasterCard user, in addition to that, individuals can send money to any mobile money or bank account, order for food, groceries, and more and track to receive them in minutes, buy airtime, data and pay bills on Hubtel.
Hubtel is now available in eight cities across Ghana, including Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Koforidua, and Tamale.
