DVLA enforces Digital Transport Fee for Uber, Bolt and Yango riders

The Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority (DVLA) has introduced a digital transport fee (DTF) effective April 1st, for all Uber, Yango etc. riders in Ghana.

According to an email from, Uber all customers will be charged 1 GHC per trip after completion of a trip. The Digital Transport Fee will be shown in the receipt of the customer for transparency purposes.

The new directive also applies to other ride hailing services such as, Bolt and Yango.

Riders are therefore advised to take notice of the new DLVA DTF directive and abide by accordingly.
