The Ghana Private Roads Transport Union (GPRTU) have announced that, effective Saturday, June 5, road transport fares will go up by 13% across the nation.
The new prices is said to affect all forms of transport including Inter-city (trotro), Intercity (long distance) and shared taxis.
In a press statement, the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union (GPRTU) revealed that the increase is to accommodate the fuel increment announced in May 2021, after long negotiations with stakeholders.
