Meta has rolled out a new feature, a customizable 3D avatar to WhatsApp, to help users create a personalized Bitmoji.
With the new feature, users can create an avatar on WhatsApp to use as your profile photo or make a sticker pack.
When a user sends an avatar sticker to another, they can react with an emoji, reply or forward the message to others.
However, Whatsapp announced that they are working on new features for avatars in the future, like the ability to create multi-character avatar stickers using each other’s avatars.
How to create your own avatar
- Open your WhatsApp app
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Avatar > Create Your Avatar.
- Follow the steps to create your avatar.
- Tap Done.
How to set your Avatar as profile photo on WhatsApp
- Select Settings.
- Tap your profile photo
- Go to Edit > Edit.
- Select Use Avatar.
And you are done, your new 3D Avatar will become your Profile Photo.
Note that the privacy setting of your current profile photo will apply to your new avatar profile photo. You can change that in the Privacy settings.
